Netizens divided on impending execution of drug trafficker Nagaenthran

As Malaysian drug trafficker Nagaenthran K. Dharmalingam seems certain to hang, after his final appeal was turned down on Tuesday, his execution is prompting some to urge ending the death penalty altogether, while others support the Apex court’s decision.

On death row since he was found guilty in 2010, Nagaenthran, 34, had been in international news headlines for months, ahead of his scheduled execution last year. He was to have been hanged on Nov 10, 2021, but tested positive for Covid-19 a day earlier, and the execution was postponed.

The good news is that Singapore’s Lions won against the Philippines’ Azkals on Tuesday (Mar 29) 2-0 in the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Tri-Nations Series 2022.

However, just like the slap heard around the world at the Oscars on Monday, perhaps the most memorable moment of the match was when Filipino Diego Bardanca was spotted grabbing Singapore’s Ikhsan Fandi’s family jewels in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Beauty contest? Netizens ridicule Honda Civic owners who blocked Sime Road underpass for photo shoot

At least half a dozen Honda Civics were parked for what appeared to be a photo shoot in the Sime Road underpass leading to Kheam Hock Road on Saturday (Mar 26).

“Drivers using this road beware and drive with care!,” reads the caption accompanying a post on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page. It shared photos of the vehicles, some appearing lined up as if in formation and taking up an entire lane .
